Your statutory rights

Here's a brief outline of your statutory rights plus a reassurance that none of our terms and conditions in anyway conflict or diminish your statutory rights. Your rights are outlined in the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) (Amendment) Regulations 2005.

If you want to fully review your statutory rights, the trading standards website (http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/index.cfm) is very good and helpfully explains everything in plain English.

  • This information should be sent to you by the time the goods are delivered, or before, or soon after the time a service starts.

Your right to cancel, or the 'cooling off' period

The Distance Selling Regulations give you the right to change your mind and cancel an order within seven working days. If you do decide to cancel, you should put this in writing.

The time limits for cancelling an order are:

Goods: 7 working days after the day on which the goods are received;
