Review from Summer Term 2 2008 issue of Learning Support magazine - "This planner and guide is written by a teaching assistant, for teaching assistants. It's a nice combination of planner and pocket advice book, and is general enough to be relevant to all TAs, including classroom assistants, SEN TAs and HLTAs. With a smart hardback cover, it will serve as a work diary for the whole year, with a page for each day seperated into sections for each lesson of the day, plus an extra notes page for each week. It also contains various planning and admin resources, such as ready-made blank registers (just put the children's names in), pupil record sheets, and blank timetables. As well as being a useful organisational tool, the guide contains a variety of snippers of information and advice on subjects relevant to TAs, such as behaviour management, taking small groups, supporting the whole class, child protection and bullying. Alongside these tips are suggestions of places to go for more information. The planner and guide has the potential not only to help you to be well-organised at work, but also to put a lot of useful information and ideas at your fingertips. The only minus point is perhaps the fact that it is in the Comic Sans font which always reminds me of a Key Stage 1 activity sheet." THE TEACHING ASSISTANT'S PLANNER AND GUIDE IS NOW AVAILABLE - HERE
